Duh!

The simple fact of the matter is that humans are the only species which realize (virtually) from birth that we are going to die. Because of that knowledge religion was created to fill that void. What happens when my loved ones die, what happens when I die? It is no more real than Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. Because humans realize they are going to die most of them feel the need to believe in something higher.

Well here's the skinny on the work update.
The current wave is supposed to be done by the end of March.
The next (and final) wave is supposed to be done in August - yes August. Another summer spend in Erie, bahh!!
And I am no longer in the hotel (apparently 160k marriott points was enough) I'm in a "wonderful" corporate apartment. As one of my co-workers desrcibes it "a trailer court with foundations" - beautiful.

The only silver lining, this software we're implementing is still supposed to sell like a Mo-Fo, and it's selling like crazy in Europe right now, and they are so short on resouces they are even looking for resources in the US, so I'm hoping to roll onto the project in the UK - working in the downtown London office, that'll work for me!

How cool is this. The only drawbacks are only 800x480 resolution (but I guess it't only a 5" screen) and I think it should run XP tablet edition, but maybe that's version 1.1 or 2.0. What a cool toy, who needs a PDA, there is a sacrifice in speed of course, but wow, neat-o!!

So finally a brief update. So Chirstmas was good. The best part, the two week break from work, it was nice. And I put into effect my new policy, if I didn't get what I wanted for Christmas, I bought.

So The Raving Atheist has mentioned everyone's favorite Fox News personality in his last couple of daily raves. Honestly I admit it, when I flip through the channels and see his show on I often stop for a couple of minutes for a few good laughs, who doesn't?
